Jan Hamilton is a graduate of Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. Jan earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education. Jan has one son Jason Hamilton who plays French Horn. Jan’s primary instrument is piano, but she was a clarinet major in college. Jan also plays trumpet, French horn, and flute as well. After graduating from college, Jan was a middle school band director. She also worked with many high school bands as an instrumental and color guard instructor. Later, she returned to school and added degrees in Early Childhood and in Educational Administration. Jan served as the Worship Arts Director of a large church in the Buford, Georgia area for many years and started a Music Academy at her church. Jan is currently teaching elementary music at Flowery Branch Elementary School in Hall County. Jan has many years of teaching, singing, playing and directing experience. She currently lives in Flowery Branch with her son, Jason, daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann and grandson, Taylor. Jan loves teaching students of all ages.
