Guitar Lessons - meet our instructors
The Music Authority Guitar Program is built on the truth that music is a language. Being able to play a pretty song on your guitar without the ability to understand the language behind it is like being able to recite, "where is the bathroom" in another language without understanding the actual language.
All guitar students follow a curriculum. Among other items, students are taught how to read on all six strings, play music written in standard notation, communicate with other musicians and members of a band, and understand chord and scale structure. Students are encouraged to play in Guitar Ensemble, Rock Camp, Rock Camp, Jr., and the band driven Spring and Fall Shows.
A variety of books are utilized and matched to your individual student's needs. Songs are included in the curriculum to help develop and build upon established concepts.
