Music Authority instructor Julian Stann - Strings
Julian started his musician journey as a violinist in elementary school at the age of ten. He didn’t discover his passion for music until switching to the viola in his third year of high school. Immediately he was placed in the top orchestra as the principle violist.
At that time, he began taking private lessons with a seasoned member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and was able to join the Georgia Piedmont Youth Orchestra and the Fulton County Honor Orchestra. He continued to develop his musical abilities after being accepted into the Kennesaw Symphony Orchestra. Over his years at Kennesaw, his studies in music consisted of the Kennesaw Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras, Quartets/Quintets and private lessons. In his free time he studied Bach’s Suites on the cello and Chopin’s Nocturnes on the piano.
A few years later, he was able to tutor his first violin students at Gross Pointe Music Academy in Michigan. Now after settling back in Georgia, he continues to grow his repertoire across all the string instruments and even continues his nine year hobby of producing music.
