More Than Music:
A Community That Gives Back

At Music Authority, we believe that music is more than just notes and rhythm—it's a powerful force that brings people together. Over the years, our school has grown into more than just a place to take lessons; we've become a thriving community of musicians who support each other and give back to the world around us.

Our students, parents, and instructors form a network of passionate individuals who care about their craft—and each other. Whether it's mentoring younger students, volunteering at community events, or performing to raise money for important causes, the Music Authority family understands the value of paying it forward.

Programs like our Rock Ensemble, Adult Rock Camp, and Showcase Bands not only build confidence and skill, they instill leadership and compassion. Older students often step up to help newcomers, while adult musicians share stories of perseverance that inspire younger generations. These connections don’t end when the music stops; they continue in friendships, mentorships, and community outreach.

From benefit concerts to food drives, Music Authority musicians are always looking for ways to give back—and we're proud of that. Because when you nurture talent in a positive, supportive environment, you create more than great music. You create leaders. Role models. Changemakers.

Fall Lessons Schedule

If you need to make a change to your schedule this fall, we recommend doing it as soon as you're able. Right now, our schedules are the most open they will be all year. Starting in the middle of July, families begin looking for fall activities and lessons spots start to disappear.

Rock Camp is About More Than Fun

Being part of Rock Camp is magical. Music Authority has being doing the summer camp for twenty years, and in that time we've improved and developed it, but the basics have stayed the same. We do it to build confidence and self esteem. We do it to give young musicians a win on stage.

Give your child confidence this summer. There's still room in July's Rock Camp, July 14-18.

The Music Authority Roadies

The Roadies are a group of parents and adult students at Music Authority. They meet the second Tuesday of every month at 6pm in The Backroom at Music Authority. You can think of the Roadies as Music Authority's PTO. They sponsor special events, service projects, and work hard to make sure our teachers feel appreciated. We welcome any Music Authority parent to come to our next meeting!

Our next Roadies meeting will be on August 12 at 6pm in The Backroom. We'd love for you to join us!

Music Authority Roadie moms both current and from years past celebrated being part of Music Authority with a poker night (complete with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries). The Roadies are an instrumental part of Music Authority, helping instructors feel appreciated and sponsoring service projects like The Longest Day.

Did You Know?

Music majors are the most likely group of college students to be admitted to medical school. Music majors have a 66% medical school acceptance rate compared to the next highest major which is biochemistry majors at 44% (Lewis Thomas, Case for Music in Schools, Phi Delta Kappa).
