Music Authority Family Newsletter - November 12, 2019

Is It Really Almost December?
Does anyone else feel like summer camp was just a couple of weeks ago?  We're barely through putting away the Halloween decorations left over from Monster Mash and Christmas music is already playing in the nail salon.  (Seriously, I'm having my nails painted black for the Fall Show and I'm listening to Silver Bells playing through the speakers.)

As time speeds by, it gets easier and easier to make those holiday purchases online while wearing PJ's, during the commercial breaks for Saturday Night Live.  I know, I thumb shop, too.

But do those online shops support your community?  Are they donating stuffed animals to Children's Healthcare for scared local kids who don't understand why they're sick?  How about backpacks and school supplies to CASA so children in foster care have the things they need for the school year?  What about collecting items for the local animal shelter?

Purchasing your gear locally has a lasting impact not just on the business, but on the community.  Locally owned business give back.  They provide jobs, which put more money into the local economy.  They support local charities and are often the first to respond in times of crisis.

As Black Friday looms, consider shopping locally.  Not just at Music Authority (but we really would appreciate it), but at other local businesses.  Mom and pop stores are labors of love.  The people who own them are passionate about their business and their customers.  Let some of our favorite local businesses show you what makes them special.

Try Dutch Monkey Doughnuts (they make amazing gluten free).  Or Marie's Deli (Marie's niece sings with Perfect Blend).  Talk of the Table (you might see Mitchell Auger singing there on a Thursday).  You won't be disappointed!

Music Authority Students Visit CMG Guitars

Students from the Music Authority Rock Ensemble and Showcase Band program visited the CMG Guitar Factory in Statesboro, Georgia on November 10.

They also made a stop in Savannah, doing their best after-Halloween Ghost Adventures impression while exploring River Street.

CMG Guitars are American Made in Georgia and available at Music Authority.
