Music Authority Family Newsletter - November 5, 2019

The Importance of Performance, G&L Tribute Guitars, Layaway Now for Christmas, Music Authority Night at Rosati's, and a 2015 Flashback

The Importance of Watching Others Perform
If you're a performer, you probably remember your first time on stage.  The nerves as you wait in the dark wings, about to step on stage.  The thrill of finding out you got the part.  The exhilaration of applause.

I remember my first part.  It was a Christmas play.  I was five years old and I had one whole sentence.  I'll never forget what it felt like.  I'll also never completely shake the nerves that happen, to this day, right before I walk onto the stage.

Live performance inspires.  It shares music and story with the audience.  Whether you are on stage or in the audience, you go home humming a new tune or imagining a new story.

If you don't have a student in the performance on Friday, you should still go to the show.  Seeing other performers on stage will inspire your young performer.  It might give them the courage to sign up next time.

If performance isn't in your future, you'll get an evening of entertainment.  We'll take you on a spooky (but not scary) journey of music.  You'll hear songs you probably haven't thought about in a long time and you'll experience the joy on performers faces as they do what they love and overcome fear.

And, perhaps most important, you'll be the most important person of the night.  Performers need an audience.  They need the applause, the laughter, and the cheers.  You, the members of the audience, are what gives life to a show.  We need you!

We hope to see you on Friday.  We hope even more to share the stage with you in the future.  It's going to be a great show!
