We've put all the important dates in one place!   We know that you have a lot to keep up with.  So to help you keep track of all the goings on at Music Authority, we've started this twice-monthly newsletter.  In here, you'll find upcoming concerts, activities sign ups, special classes, and a glance at what our Music Authority bands are up to. Music Authority's Rise, Eclipse, and Vintage Cab played for huge crowds at Dawsonville's Mountain Moonshine Festival on October 22.  The three bands enjoyed a beautiful (albeit windy) day with friends, family, and a crowd of thousands. The opportunity to play at events like the Moonshine Festival are part of the Showcase Band and Rock Ensemble programs - designed to give students of all ages the experiences of a gigging band.  Music Authority currently offers two, audition only, students bands - Rise and Eclipse.  There are three Rock Ensemble bands - Unveiled, Transcend, and our adult group - Vintage Cab. Registration for Rock Ensemble Spring 2017 Sessions opens on December 1, 2016. Audition Information for Rise and Eclipse is available now. Request your registration packet today. Spring Show Sign Ups - will open on November 14.  The Spring Show is a rock style concert for Music Authority students.  Sign ups begin on November 14 and will continue until all spots are full.  Rehearsals will take place beginning in January. Chase the Sun Show Date: Friday, March 24, 2017 - 7pm @ The Warehouse Rhythm Guitar Workshop November 6, 2016 3pm $10.00 Who needs to come to Andrew Loggin's Rhythm Guitar workshop?  Any guitar player who might want to one day play in a band.   Playing Rhythm Guitar isn't as easy as it seems.  You need to be solid on your chords, understand complex rhythmic structure, and know not to play over the singer.  Everyone should join us for this fun, informative workshop! Classical Department Show Sign Up: "All That Jazz" February 11, 2017 Sign up for the spring Classical Depatment show - All That Jazz.  For solo performers.  Register at the front desk and we'll assign you a song for the show.  There is no cost to participate, but tickets to attend are $5.
