Music Authority Family Newsletter - January 31, 2023 Summer Camp 2023 Registration for Music Authority's Summer Camp is Open! Come spend part of your summer with us! We offer camp options throughout the summer for all ages, instruments, and ability levels. Adult Rock Camp -  All Saturdays in June, 4:00-6:00; concert on June 25 Jazz Band Camp -  All Saturdays in June, 1-3pm; concert on June 25 Drum Camp - June 5 - 9, 2023 Art and Music Camp - June 5 - 9, 2023 Rock Camp -  June 12 - 16, 2023 Broadway Camp -  June 26 - 20, 2023 Rock Camp, Jr. -  ​July 17 - 21, 2023 You don't have to be a Music Authority student to register for camp at Music Authority. Thomas Visoso, former Music Authority student and member of Beyond, will be joining the staff on February 4, 2023. He will be teaching guitar on Saturdays. Thomas is a bilingual teacher and is looking forward to building his student base.  To sign up with Thomas, call Music Authority at 770-886-9066. When to Change the Strings on Your Guitar How often should you change the strings on your guitar?  Every six to eight weeks - or when the strings aren't shiny any more. Strings wear out over time. When they are old, notes won't ring in tune anymore, intonation will be off, and students will struggle to learn properly. Be sure to keep your strings shiny, change them regularly! The Music Authority Roadies The Roadies are a group of parents and adult students at Music Authority.  They meet the second Tuesday of every month at 6pm in The Backroom at Music Authority.  You can think of the Roadies as  Music Authority's PTO.  They sponsor special events, service projects, and work hard to make sure our teachers feel appreciated.  We welcome any Music Authority parent to come to our next meeting!
