Be a Champion #BeDriven

Last year, we asked you to Start a Revolution with us.

We introduced new bands, new programs, and impacted the music lessons industry in a big way.  We went to Nashville and spoke to The National Association of Music Merchants about building a culture, introducing the Music Authority Family to the national stage.  We started the Music Authority Roadies, an opportunity for parents to be more involved.  We met some amazing musical artists and sent some more of our own onto the big musical world stage.

Together, we accomplished a lot to be proud of.

But we cannot rest on our laurels.  Getting into the band isn't enough.  Once you've made the cut, you have to work hard.  The expectations are higher, excellence is expected.  Coming to rehearsals without the music learned isn't acceptable.

This year, we want to challenge all of you to be a champion.  Go farther this year than last.  If you're afraid to step on stage - make this the year that you do.  Just one song.  Just one performance.  Push beyond your comfort zone.

Champions aren't born.  They don't say the right magic words and click their heels together to be the best.  They take advantage of opportunity.  They listen and learn from the professionals (and not so professionals) around them.  They surround themselves with a team they trust, build relationships, and stare down fear.

Then they walk to the ledge, close their eyes, and step off - knowing that they'll fly, not because of magic, but because of the work they've put in.

2018 is a brand new year.  We have 365 (well, 364 now) days to stand up, be heard, and to look fear in the face.  Dad, have you always wanted to play guitar?  This is the year.  Mom, have you always wanted to sing?  Do it.  We believe in you.

The Importance of Live Performance

Private lessons alone are a solid investment for your musician.  But when you add in live performance, your student gains lessons in confidence, self-esteem, friendship, teamwork, accountability, and fun.

To get involved in the next Music Authority live performance, see Anastasia or Madison at the front desk!
Introducing the Showcase Band Alumni association!  For members of Rise and Eclipse who remained active in the program through the end of the Senior Year of High School, and for currently enrolled members of the program, the alumni association will provide you with professional networking opportunities, contacts, and professional advise.
